Support those impacted by earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

On Monday, February 6, 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck in southern Turkey, near the northern border of Syria. The initial earthquake has been followed by dozens of aftershocks, including a 7.5 magnitude earthquake just hours later. As of February 14, it is estimated that over 36,000 people have been killed with thousands more injured. In additional to the growing number of lives lost, thousands of buildings have collapsed. Agencies supplying aid are especially worried about northwestern Syria, a region that was relying on humanitarian aide prior to the earthquake. As nations are coming together to aide in the relief and recovery of this tragedy, Schwab Charitable has collaborated with Center for Disaster Philanthropy to provide a list of responding organizations.
