Help communities affected by the LA wildfires

There are currently several wildfires burning across Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. The largest fire, the Palisades Fire, has burned over 23,000 acres and is 14% contained as of the morning of January 13. The second largest fire, the Eaton Fire, has burned over 14,000 acres and has a containment level of 33%.

Weather in the LA area somewhat improved over the weekend, as winds died down. However, intense Santa Ana winds are predicted again January 13-15, bringing increased risk of new fire outbreaks and growth in the existing fires. These winds make controlling the spread of fires nearly impossible.

There have been over a dozen confirmed fatalities and hundreds of thousands of residents are without water and power, with no date for restoration.

These communities will need immense, long-term support to recover from these terrible fires and rebuild.

DAFgiving360™, along with Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
