2024 U.S. hurricane relief and recovery

If you are interested in supporting the ongoing recovery and communities affected by these powerful storms, please consider the charities and resources listed below.

Hurricane Helene made landfall on Thursday, September 26 as a Category 4 hurricane in Florida’s Big Bend region. The storm then made its way north towards the Appalachian region, bringing excessive rain and resulting in devastating floods that washed out entire towns. Millions of people are still without power and hundreds of lives were lost, making Hurricane Helene the deadliest hurricane in the U.S. since Hurricane Katrina.

Hurricane Milton made landfall late on October 9, in Siesta Key, just south of Tampa, Florida. Damage is still being evaluated; however, more than 3 million people are currently without power and at least 6 people have been confirmed to have lost their lives as a result of this storm.

DAFgiving360™ will update this profile as the damage is evaluated and more information becomes available.

Please note the list below contains charities responding to both Hurricanes Helene and Milton as some areas were affected by both storms.
