Receiving Grants

Grants from Schwab Charitable Fund offer significant advantages over donations from individuals. The Fund performs administrative tasks - such as liquidating donated securities - and sends grants to you in the form of checks, making contributions easier for you to process. In addition, once a donor has successfully recommended a grant to you, your charity becomes part of our Express Granting feature. This feature expedites future grant recommendations from any of the Fund's donors.
Schwab Charitable Fund does not accept grant proposals. Grants are made based on the recommendations of our donors. Donors contribute to a donor-advised account, and then make recommendations for grants to particular charities over time.
Please direct any solicitations directly to the donor, not to Schwab Charitable Fund.
