At Schwab Charitable, Margae spearheads the development and outreach programs, focusing on educating advisors and donors about strategic charitable planning throughout the Midwest. As a thought leader in philanthropy, Margae has appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger's and Town & Country. Prior to Schwab Charitable, Margae's leadership assisted nonprofit organizations and socially responsible businesses with their fundraising and customer support services.

Margae also maintains a personal connection with the non-profit sector. She has volunteered and served on the board of directors of several organizations. Most recently she traveled to Kenya for two weeks with a Giving Circle to tour small grassroots organizations in the slums of Nairobi that provide direct care to those with HIV/AIDS, and run educational and vocational training programs for orphaned children.
